Friday Night Racing
Nov 06, 2013
We had an outstanding night at Moonee Valley on Friday Night with all of our runners running extremely well.
The night started with a super effort from Smarty Mac. He drew the car park and Brad Rawiller did an amazing job to get him to the rails before leaving the home straight. He was slightly held up on the home turn but finished the race with an almighty burst, missing that first place stall by a stride.
Kiaola put in an almighty run in the 955m race, he was burnt for speed early, but the old boy finished the race off well.
Mango Mojito winning the 0-78 Fillies & Mares 1200m Handicap was the highlight of the night.
Jason dictated the race from the beginning, setting a good strong tempo out in front. She gave a good kick around the home turn and was always going to be hard to beat from here.
Mango has stepped up to every challenge we have given her. Since joining the stable just over 12 months ago she has won at Warrnambool, Geelong, Darwin, Murtoa and now Moonee Valley. A fantastic training effort by J-Mac.
The last race of the night saw the consistent mare Millie’s Mann put in another honest performance finishing third in the Fillies & Mares Benchmark 78 Handicap over 1600m.
It was a very successful night and made the 3 and a half hour trip home a lot easier.
